Having grown up in the business – working for his father’s construction company from the time he was only eight years old – it was only natural for Roger to, shortly after returning from serving in the United States Air Force, start up his own construction company. Strickland Construction, Inc. was founded in Raytown, MO, in 1980. A small but nimble team of five set to work, initially constructing metal farm buildings, but quickly expanded into commercial and industrial work to help meet the demands of a growing greater Kansas City Area market.
Today, Strickland Construction employs more than 50 associates. In 2002, we were named the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year. We have sold more than $50 million worth of Butler Manufacturing products since our inception in 1980.
We also take a great deal of pride in our work away from the construction site. Both as a company and as individuals, we take active roles and remain involved in numerous charitable organizations serving Kansas City and beyond.
Strickland Construction continues to be guided by the same values and principles that inspired Roger to start the company back in 1980. A commitment to creative solutions, quality building and unparalleled customer service – values you expect from a results-oriented company that delivers what is promised.
When it is important that your project is done right, on time and at a price you can afford, count on Strickland Construction.
